Read with discernment; the Apostle Jude quotes 1 Enoch and Paul knew this material, but inclusion here is for study, not doctrine.

1And I said to the angel: “Why have you now brought me up here, and why my eyes cannot now see distinctly?

2a 2 Why I am growing weak and my spirit is departing from me?”.

3And he said to me: “Remain close by me and do not fear, for the One whom you cannot see is now coming towards us with a great voice of holiness3.

4The Eternal One who loves you, but you yourself cannot see Him.

5However you must not allow your spirit to grow faint on account of the choirs of those who cry out,

6for I am with you to strengthen you.”

Public-domain text (R.H. Charles 1913 and equivalents). These works are not canonical, but several were widely read in antiquity and one (1 Enoch) is quoted by name in Jude 1:14–15. Useful for understanding the doctrinal landscape from which the apostles and earliest saints taught.
