Jubilees Pseudepigrapha — not canonical
A second-century-BC retelling of Genesis 1 through Exodus 12, framed as the revelation given to Moses on Sinai by the Angel of the Presence. Hebrew fragments at Qumran (where Jubilees was treated almost as scripture) confirm its antiquity; the complete text survives only in Ethiopic. The book reorganizes biblical history around a 364-day solar calendar of 49-year jubilees and presents Abraham as a temple-restorer who tore down his father's idols and offered sacrifices on a high place — material that the Apocalypse of Abraham develops further and that PGP Abraham 1 echoes precisely. Jubilees also preserves the most detailed early Jewish material on the heavenly tablets, the angelic hierarchy, and the patriarchal calendar — all of which illuminate the priesthood-lineage passages in D&C 84 and 107. 50 chapters · R.H.
